last night ally and i were bored so we decided it might be fun to try sneak into birds of tokyo at thebby. ally (local a-lister/ popularity contest twenty-ten winner) was a little hesitant at first but was willing to back my past experience with rhys ‘devil’ devlin at kasabian (thanks jim the roadie for your stealth moves to get us in). we managed to slide our way in for the best part of thirty to forty-five minutes of bird’s set. i’m not a huge fan but it was well rad. i was quite the devo that we missed silversun pickups (it was free though, so beggars can’t be choosers). 1/1
from there we decided to check out some weird art exhibition at brown sugar gallery. it turned out to be a few ‘death/zombie’ paintings on the wall at sugar but we hung for a bit & mingled with the crowd of asians and late-twenty to thirty year old hacks who actually go to sugar on a wednesday night. [note: when i say hung i mean walked past and simultaneously judged] 2/2
finally, slushy’s and abandoned buildings (concordia hospital and random old place in town) to top off the most random assortment of activities i’ve ever engaged in during a single night. fun times in good ol’ adelaide, proving once again; there is totally shit to do in our city of churches if you look hard enough. 3/3 bitches!
